Man Jailed for Over 20 Years in Shocking 37-Year Sexual Abuse Case
Brian Guest, 65, has been locked up for 22 years after being found guilty of multiple rapes, sexual assaults, and indecent assaults on women and young girls. Stafford Crown Court sentenced him on January 23 following a disturbing trial that uncovered crimes spanning almost four decades.

The abuse came to light in October 2022 when a complaint was made against Guest, sparking a thorough police probe. Victims—including children—showed immense courage by stepping forward to report Guest’s heinous acts carried out in various locations over 37 years.
Detective Sergeant Praises Brave Victims, Calls for More to Come Forward
Detective Sergeant Nadia Cooper, who led the investigation, hit out at Guest’s “appalling sequence of abuse,” praising the survivors whose evidence was key to convicting him. Cooper urged anyone suspecting they were victims to speak up.
“We would urge anyone who knows or thinks they were a victim of sexual abuse in the past to contact us and tell your story,” she said. “By doing so, you could achieve justice and help protect others now and in the future.”
