An abusive thug who savagely battered a woman and threatened to kill her entire family has finally been locked up.

Relentless Campaign of Terror

Alfie Annison, 32, from near Snodland, unleashed a brutal year-long assault after starting a relationship in June 2024. He repeatedly punched his victim, yanked her hair, spat in her face, and bombarded her with unwanted calls and texts.

His cruelty escalated when, during a chilling phone call to a relative, Annison snarled: “I’m going to kill you all.”

Public Attack on Maidstone Street

The nightmare reached a terrifying climax on 8 April 2025. Onlookers reported seeing Annison brutally attack the woman on Hermitage Lane, Maidstone. She had been trying to call the police while driving when Annison forcibly cut her off.

  • He punched her in the head
  • Threw a phone at her
  • Violently yanked her hair
  • Smash the car’s windscreen
  • Damaged a passenger door
  • Attempted to wrestle the steering wheel to force the car into oncoming traffic

Officers caught up and arrested Annison — who even bit a policeman during the scuffle.

Jail Time and Restraining Order

At Woolwich Crown Court, Annison pleaded guilty to controlling and coercive behaviour, plus assault on an emergency worker. On 27 November, he was sentenced to 18 months behind bars and slapped with a five-year restraining order.

Detective Constable Kane Tyler said: “The victim endured almost a year of fear and violence, left genuinely fearing for her life. Offenders like Annison leave women feeling worthless and humiliated, often with lasting mental scars. The victim’s courage has helped bring him to justice.”
