Jatinder Singh, also known as Vicky Singh Sangha, targeted his victim on the busy westbound Central Line at Liverpool Street just after 8.20am on 2 October 2024. Using the crush of passengers as cover, he carried out the vile attack without anyone noticing.

Showing quick thinking and courage, the woman texted British Transport Police (BTP) on 61016 during the ordeal. Her swift action kicked off a police probe. Shortly after, a sharp-eyed BTP officer spotted Singh near King’s Cross and arrested him.
Six Months Inside and a Decade on the Sex Offenders Register
Singh, who has no fixed address, pled guilty to sexual assault at London Inner Crown Court on 25 November. He was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison, ordered to pay a £187 surcharge, and must register as a sex offender for 10 years.
