Ria Clarke faces charges after daring thefts

Ria Clarke, 38, from Portsmouth, has been charged with two counts of shoplifting following a brazen raid at Boots on Winchester High Street. The incidents happened on Saturday, 10 December.

Huge haul seized

Clarke allegedly tried to walk out with more than £1,000 worth of goods during the latest theft. But vigilant officers recognised her from an earlier visit just days before, when she got away with over £2,000 worth of stock.

Court date set for Monday

The accused is set to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court today, Monday 12 December, to face the charges. Police continue cracking down on retail crime in the area.
