Drug runner caught red-handed with 33 vials of cocaine in City of London car stop
A man has been slammed with a three-year jail sentence after cops found 33 vials of cocaine stashed in his vehicle during a routine traffic stop.
Luxury stash uncovered in driver’s door
Arroyave Andres Felipe Ocampo, 28, from Charlton Road, Edmonton, was busted on 11 November 2024 when City of London Police pulled over his car on London Wall at around 4:50pm. Officers soon learnt Ocampo wasn’t the registered owner and had no valid insurance.
Despite flashing a false ID, Ocampo raised suspicion by taking his time to stop and trying to wipe messages from his phone as police approached. A thorough search, backed up by sniffer dogs, snared the Class A drugs hidden inside the driver’s side window control panel.

Police crack down on London’s drug trade
Detective Constable James Crellin said: “City of London Police officers are proactively targeting offenders and we will take action to disrupt and pursue those involved in the supply of Class A drugs on the streets of London.”
“Putting these criminals behind bars removes another threat to rid the streets of this most impactful and harmful illegal activity, as we continue to actively identify, investigate and prosecute all others attempting to do the same.”
Phone data exposes full drug ring
Further snooping on Ocampo’s mobile uncovered multiple postcodes, suggesting a widespread dealing operation across the capital.
The case wrapped up at Inner London Crown Court, where the judge slammed Ocampo’s clever concealment tactics, use of false identity, and blatant disregard for his driving ban as serious aggravating factors.
Ocampo pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply, possession of false ID, driving without insurance, and driving while disqualified before being handed his three-year stretch behind bars.
