A wave of offences hit Bromley Magistrates’ Court between 21 and 27 May 2025. From drug busts to road rage and banned driving, the court took no prisoners.
Cocaine Bust in Plumstead
Vladimir Vorobjov, 43, caught with cocaine in Plumstead on 9 January 2025, was slapped with a £253 fine. The drugs were seized and will be destroyed following his court hearing on 27 May.
Uninsured Drivers Caught Red-Handed
- Errol Thompson, 44, of Abbey Wood, fined £197 and hit with six penalty points after driving without insurance on Boxgrove Road on 4 March 2024. He faced court on 22 May.
Mobile Phone & Seatbelt Offences Rack Up Fines
- Liam Campbell, 40, from Southwark, pleaded guilty to careless driving on Woolwich Road on 21 December 2024.
- He was fined £630, got six driving points, and admitted to driving without a seatbelt and using a mobile phone—though he dodged extra penalties for those.
Bromley Banned Driver Fined Heavily
- Andrew Hegarty, 45, admitted driving while disqualified on Academy Road, Woolwich, 18 March 2025.
- He landed a £738 fine, £85 court costs, and received six penalty points on 21 May.
Harassment Lands Community Order
- Baron Drummond, 35, harassed a woman in Dartford on 5 April 2025.
- Sentenced on 23 May to a 12-month community order, 30 rehabilitation days, 80 hours unpaid work, and a restraining order lasting until May 2027.
- Also ordered to pay £199 in costs and surcharge.
Bournemouth Man’s Mobile Phone Offence Costs Nearly £1,000
- Smith, 32, fined £346 plus £650 costs for using a mobile phone while driving in Bexley on 7 October 2024.
- Received six penalty points during the 22 May hearing.
Sidcup Road Rage Ends in Court
- Gary Davies, 50, assaulted a man and smashed a Tesla mirror on Cray Road, Sidcup, 30 November 2024.
- Got 80 hours unpaid work, £200 compensation, and a 12-month community order on 22 May.
Drunk and Disorderly in Bromley
- Denise Graham, 43, fined just £50 after admitting to drunk and disorderly conduct on Anerley Road on 26 May 2025.
- Pleaded guilty the very next day.
