Predator Gets 14 Years for Child Sex Attacks After Prison Release

Timothy Harris, 46, from Leyton, east London, has been slammed with a 14-year jail term for sexually assaulting two children shortly after being freed from prison.

Sex Offender Flouted Strict Rules

Harris was already a lifetime registered sex offender after raping a homeless teenager in 2016. Despite this, he flagrantly broke the law by failing to notify the Met Police he was staying in Norfolk following his three-year sentence.

Shocking Norfolk Crimes Lead to Arrest

On December 18, 2024, Harris was arrested in Leyton over horrific allegations of sexually abusing two children in Norfolk. He denied all charges but was found guilty at the 1 Crown Court on September 26 of multiple offences, including:

  • Flouting sex offender notification requirements
  • Engaging in sexual activity in front of a child under 13
  • Four counts of intentionally touching a child under 13

Locked Up and Locked Down

Harris was sentenced to 14 years behind bars with an additional four years on licence. Authorities will keep him under tight surveillance to stop him from ever preying on children again.
