Gunfire Rocks New Addington
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police have charged two men with attempted murder following a shooting in Croydon last month. The incident left a man in his 30s wounded but not critically harmed.
Arrests and Charges
- Anthony Dasousa, 30, from Coulsdon, was arrested on 3 June. He faces charges of attempted murder and possession of a shotgun with intent to endanger life.
- Tevin Nzita, 29, from Croydon, was arrested the following day and charged with the same offences.
What Happened?
On the evening of Wednesday, 21 May, police were called to Walsh Crescent, New Addington, at 7:26pm after multiple reports of gunfire. Officers found a man suffering gunshot wounds, who was rushed to hospital. Thankfully, his injuries were confirmed as non-life-threatening and non-life-changing.
Court Dates and Investigation
- Dasousa appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on 4 June.
- Nzita appeared at the same court on 5 June.
Both men remain remanded in custody as the Specialist Crime Command continues their investigation.
