Isle of Wight Councillor Faces Shocking Sexual Assault Charges
Daryll Pitcher, a 46-year-old county councillor from Norman Way, Wootton Bridge, appeared before Newport Magistrates’ Court today to face serious sexual assault allegations.
Serious Allegations from the Late ’80s
Pitcher stands accused of two counts of rape and one count of indecent assault involving a girl under 14. The alleged offences took place in Wootton between March 19, 1989, and March 20, 1992.
Bail Granted, Next Court Date Set
He was released on bail and must return to Isle of Wight Crown Court on August 22 for plea and trial preparation.
