Man Brutally Attacked at Worksop Bus Stop on Christmas Day

A 22-year-old man was seriously injured in a shocking assault at a bus stop on Newcastle Street, Worksop, just after 6pm on Christmas Day.

Victim Suffers Serious Head Injuries

The victim was knocked unconscious and suffered severe head wounds. He was rushed to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

Two Men Charged Over Attack

Police have charged Brogan Bown, 24, from Gateford Road, Worksop, and Wayne Maxwell, 33, from Campbell Close, Worksop. Both face charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. The pair were due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 27 December.

Police Issue Warning After Brutal Christmas Assault

“A man was knocked unconscious and suffered serious head injuries following this nasty assault,” said Detective Inspector Mark Booth of Nottinghamshire Police. “Nottinghamshire Police condemns all acts of violence, and we would warn anyone who behaves in this manner that they will eventually have to face up to the consequences of their actions.”
