New Suspect Joins Kennie Carter Murder Probe

A fresh twist has landed in the hunt for justice over the fatal stabbing of 16-year-old Kennie Carter. On January 22, 2022, Kennie was tragically killed on Thirlmere Avenue, Stretford. Fast forward to November 20, 2023, and another 16-year-old boy was hauled into Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court in connection with the case. Due to legal reasons, his identity remains under wraps. This latest suspect joins others charged back in late October.

Detective Pledges Justice for Kennie

Detective Chief Inspector Nicola McCulloch, leading Greater Manchester Police’s Major Incident Team, says the force remains firmly behind Kennie’s family. “We will keep pushing until justice is served and Kennie’s loved ones get the closure they deserve,” she vowed.

Police Urge Public to Come Forward

Detective McCulloch also called on anyone with new information or footage related to Kennie’s death to step up. “Whether you have mobile, CCTV, or dash-cam clips, now’s the time to share them,” she said. “It’s not too late – we believe there’s more evidence out there.”
