Twice-Convicted Doctor Jailed Again for Stalking
A doctor with a dark past of stalking and sharing revenge porn has been locked up once more—this time for targeting a new woman in Bournemouth.
New Stalking Scare in Bournemouth
Matthew Ashley Foster-Smith, 46, was found guilty at Bournemouth Crown Court on 21 October 2025 of stalking a woman in her 40s and breaching a restraining order.
The chilling offences took place between May and October 2023. Foster-Smith:
- Loitered outside the victim’s workplace
- Intentionally sought chances to bump into her in public
- Dug deep into her life on multiple internet platforms
Over Two Years Behind Bars
On 22 October 2025, Foster-Smith was sentenced to two years and two months in prison. This also covered breaching a restraining order from a previous stalking case.
Police Warn: Stalking Wrecks Lives
“The defendant’s behaviour has had an extremely significant impact on the victim’s life,” said Detective Constable Thomas Norman of Bournemouth CID.
“She continues to live in fear and described these events as destroying her life.”
