Jalal Khan, 76, has tragically died after a brutal attack on a North London high street. Police have launched a murder probe following the shocking assault on High Street, Ponders End.

Shocking Attack in Broad Daylight

Mr Khan was found seriously injured with head wounds at 11.07am on Thursday, October 30, after witnesses reported a robbery and violent assault. Despite being rushed to hospital, he sadly passed away on Wednesday, November 19.

His family, devastated by the loss, have asked for privacy and are receiving support from specialist officers.

Suspect Charged with Knife Violence

Jaesis Boatswain, 40, from Swan Walk, Enfield, was charged on Thursday, November 6 with:

  • Grievous bodily harm
  • Assault
  • Robbery
  • Threatening a person with a knife

Boatswain appeared at Highbury Magistrates’ Court on the same day and was remanded in custody. His next hearing is due on Wednesday, December 10 at Wood Green Crown Court.
