Ex-Learning Mentor Jailed for Sexually Abusing Vulnerable Schoolgirls

A former learning mentor has been slammed with an eight-year prison sentence after sexually abusing five vulnerable teenage girls he was supposed to support in school.

Predator Strikes at Prestigious London School

Emem Udaw, 51, targeted his victims between 2002 and 2005 at the elite Holland Park School in Kensington, west London. The abuser fondled the girls, forced one to touch him, and kissed another. Shockingly, his youngest victim was only 13.

Udaw was meant to guide and protect these girls through tough times. Instead, he exploited their trust and vulnerability. Found guilty on 14 counts of indecent assault across 47 separate incidents, Udaw’s crimes shook the school community.

Judge Giles Curtis-Raleigh branded Udaw’s behaviour “predatory” and a “flagrant, gross breach of trust,” highlighting how he targeted girls already battling personal and school challenges.

Udaw received an eight-year prison term, will remain on the sex offenders register for life, and faces a 20-year sexual harm prevention order.
