Man charged with murder of woman in Walthamstow
A 45-year-old man is set to face court over the stabbing death of a woman in Walthamstow.
Shaine March in custody
Shaine March, from Rainsborough Avenue, SE8, will appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 23 July. He is charged with murdering 32-year-old Alana Odysseos.
Police called after stabbing
Officers were called to Lynmouth Road, E17, at around 3am on Monday, 22 July. Reports came in of a woman seriously injured. When police arrived, Alana was found with fatal stab wounds and died at the scene.
Victim and suspect known to each other
Investigators confirmed that March and Alana knew each other. The Met’s Specialist Crime Command launched a murder probe immediately. March was arrested and charged in the early hours of 23 July.
