Luxury Porsche Thieves Busted After £1 Million Spree
Two homeless crooks have been locked up for nicking 25 luxury Porsches across Greater Manchester, raking in a staggering £1 million worth of motors. Eidmantas Sadauskas and Vytautas Ceponis pulled off a string of high-tech smash-and-grab raids starting January 2025, using clever gadgets to disable alarms and clone cars with fake plates.
High-Speed Hunt Ends in Police Sting
The duo targeted posh Porsches in Salford, Bury, Trafford, Manchester, and Stockport, sparking a major police chase. Manchester’s Neighbourhood Crime Team tracked them for months before stopping their suspicious vehicle at 1am on 16 October. Cops discovered a toolbox loaded with theft gear, blank keys, and screwdrivers inside.
At Minshull Street Crown Court in November, both men pleaded guilty to conspiracy to steal vehicles.
Jail Time for Porsche Pilferers
- Vytautas Ceponis was sentenced to four years behind bars on 19 December
- Eidmantas Sadauskas received four-and-a-half years the same day
Several stolen Porsches have been recovered, but police are still on the hunt for the rest to get them back to their rightful owners.
Crime Crackdown Pays Off
The arrests have slashed vehicle thefts in Stockport by 43% and overall vehicle crime by 10%. The Neighbourhood Crime Team behind the bust has been nominated for the prestigious Chief Constable’s award.
