Ex-Teacher Jailed for 12 Years Over Shocking Child Sex Abuse

Decades of Abuse Exposed
The ex-teacher faced 22 charges involving seven girls but was convicted on 13 counts and cleared of nine. His vile acts included slipping his hand inside girls’ trousers and repeatedly touching or squeezing their breasts.
Police Praise Brave Victims
“Hafez Ashraf Uddin abused the respected position of trust he held,” said Detective Inspector Donna Hopper of the South Safeguarding Investigation Unit.
“He subjected these young girls to shocking assaults – some multiple times. The victims didn’t feel able to report at the time, but I pay tribute to their bravery for coming forward, despite the years passed.
This case shows it’s never too late to get justice. Victims will always be heard and we’ll investigate wherever possible.
Uddin probably thought he got away with it – but he didn’t count on their resilience. He’ll now spend much of his remaining years behind bars.”
