Man Jailed for Life After Stabbing Wife to Death in Ealing
A 51-year-old man has been locked up for life for the brutal murder of his wife in their home in Ealing.
Mugurel Nica Guilty of Wife’s Murder
Mugurel Nica, from Jubilee Road, Perivale, was found guilty at Southwark Crown Court on 16 September of murdering 40-year-old Ana Maria Murariu. The next day, on 1 October, he was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 21 years behind bars.
Knife Attack in Early Hours Shocks Neighbours
Police raced to the Jubilee Road home at 1:40am on 28 February after a family member made a desperate 999 call. Officers found Ana Maria critically injured and performed CPR alongside paramedics. Tragically, she died at the scene from multiple stab wounds. Nica was arrested immediately and charged with murder on 1 March.

“Ana Maria was the victim of appalling domestic violence. She leaves behind four children, whose resilience throughout this ordeal has been extraordinary. We hope this sentence represents some form of justice and a step towards their healing,” said Detective Inspector Richard Kempshall, who led the inquiry.
