Knife Rampage Sparks Horror After Spitting and Punching
The chaos erupted when Pilko spat in a woman’s face and punched her to the ground after a heated argument. Her boyfriend stepped in to protect her – and was stabbed repeatedly in a brutal knife assault that left him fighting for life.
Judge Slams ‘Plainly Dangerous’ Attacker
The victim was rushed into an induced coma with serious injuries. At Winchester Crown Court, Pilko pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent, knife possession, and assault by beating.
Judge Rufus Taylor condemned him as “plainly dangerous” before sentencing Pilko to eight years and one month behind bars, plus four years on extended licence.
Past Threats and Police Praise Quick Action
Police revealed Pilko was already on a two-year community order for threatening a kebab shop worker with a knife. He was also out on bail for knife possession and cannabis offences at the time of the stabbing.
Detective Constable Lizzie Christie said, “Maksims Pilko’s violent stabbing could have had fatal consequences. Thanks to quick police action and investigation, justice has been served.”
Stranger Danger on Bournemouth’s Streets
The terrifying attack unfolded on February 24 on Richmond Hill, near Bournemouth Railway Station. Pilko didn’t know the couple before he spat in the woman’s face and launched his brutal assault when her partner intervened.
In court, Pilko admitted to a troubled childhood, leaving home at 16. He showed remorse, but the judge declared him a serious threat to public safety.
