Two Teens Charged Over Tower Hamlets Stabbing
Two 18-year-old men face murder charges after a deadly stabbing in Tower Hamlets earlier this week. Abdul Jalloh, 23, was fatally stabbed on Monday, August 5, in New Union Close, E14.
Suspects Named and Charged
Shomiah McKenzie from Lewisham and Cody Godfrey from the Isle of Dogs were charged on Friday, August 9, with the murder of Abdul Jalloh. Both also face possession of Class C drugs with intent to supply.
In addition, McKenzie has been hit with a possession of an offensive weapon charge.
Remanded in Custody, Court Date Set
McKenzie and Godfrey remain in custody and will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on Saturday, August 10.
Family Supported as Police Continue Investigation
The family of the victim has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers during this tough time.
A 16-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender but has since been released under investigation.
