Woman Found Dead in Gateshead – Murder Charge Made
Northumbria Police have identified the woman found dead earlier this week at a Gateshead home. Eve McIntyre, 57, was discovered at an address on Sunderland Road.
Man Held Over Murder of Eve McIntyre
John Baldwin, 42, of Sunderland Road, Gateshead, has been charged with murder following a police investigation. He was arrested shortly after Eve McIntyre’s body was found and is due to appear before Newcastle magistrates this Saturday.
Police Appeal for Privacy and Justice
Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Thompson said, “This is an incredibly sad time for Eve’s family, and our thoughts remain with them. They’ve been left understandably devastated, and we continue to ask that everyone respects their privacy.”
She added, “Since the outset, our priority has been to get Eve’s family the answers they deserve — and ensure the person responsible for her death is rightly brought to justice.”
