An 18-year-old man faces serious charges after an armed brawl erupted in Sheffield city centre on Friday afternoon.
Mohammed Islam Held on Firearms and Attempted Murder Charges
Mohammed Islam, from Fairfax Rise, has been charged under Sections 16 and 16A of the Firearms Act, as well as attempted murder. He is currently remanded in custody and will appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on 26 December.
Police Called to Disturbance on Bank Street
Armed officers were dispatched to a disturbance on Bank Street at 2.10pm on 22 December. Islam was arrested at the scene. Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt during the incident.
Police Hunt Two More Men Linked to Fight
Officers are urgently trying to trace two other men connected to the clash. Investigations continue as police seek their whereabouts.
