Man Faces Serious Charges Over Croydon Clash

Alec Lemard, 36, from Douglas Road, Preston, has been hit with a string of charges after two police officers were injured in South Norwood.

He faces allegations including causing grievous bodily harm, actual bodily harm, threats to kill, plus two public order offences—one of which is racially aggravated.

Violent Incident at Clifton Road Address

The drama unfolded on 21 July at a property on Clifton Road, Croydon.

Police were called after reports that a man was making threats to residents inside the address.

Two Officers Taken to Hospital

During the confrontation, two police officers were hurt and required hospital treatment for their injuries.

Next Appearance Set for 23 July

Lemard is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on 23 July as the investigation continues.
