Man Charged with Murder After Fatal Thorpe St Andrew Stabbing
Police have charged James Crosbie, 47, with murder following a deadly stabbing in Thorpe St Andrew on Wednesday night (14 April 2021).
Charges and Court Appearance
Crosbie, from Primrose Crescent, faces one count of murder, two counts of grievous bodily harm (GBH), and three counts of possessing an offensive weapon. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Monday (19 April 2021).
Fatal Incident on Primrose Crescent
Emergency services rushed to Primrose Crescent shortly after 7.35pm on Wednesday after reports of a disturbance involving several people. A 41-year-old man was stabbed and tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
“The cause of death was confirmed as a stab wound to the chest following a Home Office post mortem,” reported police on Friday (16 April).
Second Suspect Released Under Investigation
A 17-year-old male, initially arrested for grievous bodily harm, was also questioned on suspicion of attempted murder. He has since been released under investigation as inquiries continue.
The police cordon around Primrose Crescent has now been lifted.
