A local man has been charged after a spate of daring break-in attempts rocked the Isle of Wight.

Jake Dunkling Arrested After Multiple Break-In Tries

Jake Dunkling, 35, from Nodgham Lane, Newport, faces four counts of attempted burglary. He appeared today at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court.

Early Morning Crime Spree Shakes Cowes

The charges relate to reports on 20 October, when a man was seen trying to jimmy doors at several homes in Cowes. Three attempts happened on Tennyson Road, with a fourth on Bridge Road.

Police Remain on High Alert

Officers launched a swift probe after the incidents. Dunkling was arrested following ongoing investigations.

“We’re urging residents to stay vigilant and report anything suspicious,” a police spokesperson said.
