Eltham Man Busted Over Series of London Robberies
Thomas Loring, 40, from Dunkery Road, Eltham, was arrested on Wednesday, June 19, amid a police crackdown on a string of daring robberies across London.
Multiple Serious Charges Laid
Loring faces a slew of charges, including:
- Conspiracy to commit robbery between February 25 and June 19, 2024
- Conspiracy to steal over the same period
- Robbery on Old Kent Road on June 19, 2024
- Possession of an offensive weapon
- Possession of a class B drug
He is due to appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, June 21.
Accomplice Also Nabbed
Police also arrested James Dixon, a man with no fixed address, on June 19. He faces the same charges as Loring, suggesting a wider gang operation.
Violent Raid in Chelsea
One key robbery under investigation took place on March 26 on Sydney Street, Chelsea. According to the Metropolitan Police, two men stormed a commercial property wielding hammers, causing extensive damage and making off with jewellery worth thousands.
Three victims were hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries following the violent attack.
