Man Charged After 60-Year-Old Attacked in Ramsgate

A man has been charged with assault after a brutal attack left a man in his 60s with a head injury in Ramsgate.

Victim Hospitalised Following Harbour Street Assault

Kent Police rushed to Harbour Street at 10.41pm on Friday, 28 March, after a distress call reporting an injured man. Paramedics treated the victim at the scene before rushing him to a London hospital. Luckily, the man remains in stable condition.

Suspect Arrested and Facing Court

After a swift investigation, officers confirmed the injury was caused by an assault. Marshall Mitchell, 34, from Crescent Road, Ramsgate, was arrested and charged with unlawful wounding. He is currently in custody and is set to appear at Margate Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 31 March.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Kent Police are still piecing together the events and need help from the public. Anyone with information is urged to call 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/52481/25.
