Man Charged with Murder After Woman Stabbed to Death in Rotherhithe
Tragic Stabbing Rocks Greenland Quay
Police were called to Greenland Quay, Rotherhithe just before 3pm on Friday, November 29, after reports of a woman suffering stab wounds. Emergency services rushed 57-year-old Margaret Cunningham to hospital, but she sadly died later that evening.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
Shortly after the incident, officers arrested 61-year-old Andrew Cunningham nearby. He has now been formally charged with murder in connection to Margaret’s death.
Court Date Set
Andrew Cunningham was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Monday, December 2.
