Surrey Tragedy: Two Young Men Killed, Murder Charges Filed
A deadly crash in Surrey has taken two young lives and sparked murder charges. Surrey Police have charged 29-year-old Alex Rose from Sunbury-upon-Thames with two counts of murder and perverting the course of justice.
Fatal Crash on A316 Slip Road
The horror unfolded just after midnight on Monday. The collision happened on the A316 southbound slip road leading onto the M3. Emergency crews rushed to the scene at around 12:50am. One man was pronounced dead on site, while another later died in hospital.
Victims Named: Community Mourns
The victims have been identified as 21-year-old William Birchard from Colnbrook and 22-year-old Darren George from Egham. Their deaths have left locals reeling, with an outpouring of grief and condolences flooding in.
Additional Charges and Court Dates
- 24-year-old Tara Knaggs from Great Ayton, Yorkshire, faces charges of assisting an offender.
- Two men, both 24 and from Walton-on-Thames and Feltham, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder but have since been released on bail.
- Alex Rose and Tara Knaggs are set to appear at Guildford Crown Court next week.
