Murder Charge After Fatal Road Collision
Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit has charged 24-year-old Shazeb Khalid with murder following the death of 38-year-old Vignesh Raman in Reading.
Fatal Crash on Addington Road
Raman was found injured on Addington Road last Wednesday (February 14) after a collision involving a cyclist and a vehicle. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at Royal Berkshire Hospital. A murder investigation was launched immediately.
Police Action and Bail Updates
- Khalid, who has no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of murder on February 19.
- Seven other men, initially arrested for assisting an offender, have now been released on bail.
Upcoming Court Appearance
Khalid is due to appear at Reading Magistrates Court on February 21, where more details of the case will come to light as proceedings continue.
