Teen Taye fatally stabbed in N18 as police make arrests
Bernard Carroll, 19, from Church Street, N9, was arrested on Monday, 6 November and charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of 16-year-old Taye in Kendal Gardens, N18. He is set to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 8 November.
Family supported by specialist officers
Taye’s family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers to help them through this tragic time.
Multiple arrests and bail granted
- A 16-year-old girl initially arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on bail.
- Three others – a 20-year-old man and two 22-year-old women – were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All three have also been bailed.
Timeline of tragic stabbing
Police and paramedics were called to Kendal Gardens at 11.27pm on Sunday, 1 October. Despite their efforts, Taye was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem on 4 October confirmed sharp force trauma to the chest as the cause of death.

Detective Inspector Ben Dalloway said: “We thank members of the public who have already come forward. We urge anyone with information to speak to us—no detail is too small.”
