Man Charged with Murder of Joe Burton on New Year’s Eve
A 24-year-old man was fatally stabbed on New Year’s Eve in Greater Manchester. Now, police have charged a local man with his murder.
Fatal Stabbing Shocks Bury Community
Emergency services rushed to a home on Tarn Drive, Bury, just before midnight on Wednesday after reports of a stabbing. Tragically, Joe Burton was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect Anthony Junior Murray in Custody
Anthony Junior Murray, 25, from the same street, appeared at Manchester Magistrates’ Court today. He faces charges of murder and possession of a bladed article.
Murray has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on Monday.
