Knife-Wielding Teen Nabbed at Dartford Station
A 19-year-old man, Rackeem Thomas, was locked up just one day after being caught with a large combat knife at Dartford railway station in south London. Thomas, who has no fixed address, was stopped by a ticket inspector last Monday, December 18, after failing to produce a valid ticket. What followed was a shocking chain of events on a train between Shortlands and Beckenham Stations.
Ticket Check Turns Violent
When challenged by the revenue inspector, Thomas resisted and a struggle broke out. During the tussle, he tried to pull out a concealed Rambo-style blade from his waistband. Passengers watched in horror as the chaos unfolded.
Quick Guilty Plea and Jail Time
The very next day, Thomas admitted to possessing a pointed or bladed weapon at Medway Magistrates Court. He was swiftly sentenced to six months behind bars, slapped with an £85 forfeiture and destruction order, and hit with a £154 victim surcharge.
Serious Charges and Upcoming Court Date
Thomas now faces an attempted murder charge after a violent attack on the train. The victim, a man in his 20s, remains in critical but stable condition in hospital. Thomas has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on March 30.
