Attack Caught on CCTV

Rehaan Khan, of Ryder Road, admitted assault and affray at North Staffordshire Justice Centre. The shocking incident unfolded at 4.36am on 4 February 2024 on Trinity Street, right outside the Groove Castle nightclub in Hanley. CCTV footage revealed the victim rushing to help a woman lying on the ground before being attacked by two women. As she fell, Khan appeared from behind and delivered five brutal kicks to her head. The victim suffered a broken tooth and nasty bruising.

Previous Convictions and Court Action

Khan was also slapped with a £50 fine for breaching a suspended sentence. With four previous convictions covering eight offences, magistrates said the assault was too severe for their court’s powers. He was sent to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court for sentencing.
