Homeless Burglar Caught and Jailed After Bumbling Break-In
Kevin McCormick, 52, with no fixed address, has been locked up for three years following a bungled burglary in High Wycombe.
Busted Breaking In at Dawn
Just before 8am on 14 April 2021, McCormick sneaked into a home on Amersham Hill through a window. The homeowner was woken by the noise and promptly kicked him out.
Swift Justice After Quick Arrest
McCormick was nabbed later that same day and charged the next. At Aylesbury Crown Court on Tuesday (18 May), he pleaded guilty to one count of burglary.
Police Praise Team’s Quick Action
“The offence of burglary can have a huge impact on the lives of victims and the wider community, so I’m pleased that we have been able to bring the defendant so swiftly to justice,” said Detective Constable Emily Sendall of the Priority Crime Team, High Wycombe.
With criminals like McCormick off the streets, locals can breathe a little easier.
