Manhunt launched after dangerous West London prisoner escapes open jail
A major police crackdown is on after Brian Odour, 34, fled HMP Springhill in Buckinghamshire on 25 March 2025. The convicted criminal, linked to West London, has been spotted roaming around Hammersmith and Fulham.
Armed Offender on the Loose
Odour was serving a 15-year sentence handed down in 2018 for possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. Police have issued a serious warning, urging the public not to approach him under any circumstances.

- Medium build
He has strong links to several areas including Hammersmith and Fulham, Hayes, Edgware, Bushey (Hertfordshire), Dunstable, and Houghton Regis (Bedfordshire).

“We are appealing for the public’s help to trace Brian Odour. If you see him, do not approach. Call 999 immediately,” warned Claire Busby from Thames Valley Police Prison Crime Team.
Police are combing CCTV footage and gathering local intelligence. They are working closely with the Metropolitan Police and Hertfordshire Constabulary due to Odour’s widespread connections.
