A former probation officer and mother-of-two has been slammed in court over a sinister acid attack plot that left her ex-partner dead.
Ex-Cop Paris Wilson Charged Over Fatal Acid Attack
Paris Wilson, 34, faces serious charges including conspiracy to murder, conspiracy to kidnap, and participation in an organised crime group. The dramatic case centres on the death of Danny Cahalane, 38, who suffered horrific injuries after a corrosive fluid was thrown at him at his plymouth/" title="Plymouth" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Plymouth home on 21 February.
Following ten weeks in hospital, Mr Cahalane tragically died on 3 May.
Wilson, who once worked with ex-offenders and volunteered at Dartmoor Prison, appeared in Plymouth Crown Court alongside co-defendant Jenna Said, 38. Both women have been remanded in custody ahead of a plea hearing set for 2 June.
Nine Charged in Shocking Acid Attack Conspiracy
The gang linked to the attack is made up of nine defendants:

- Isanah Sungum, 21
- Ramarnee Bakas, 22
- Arrone Mukuna, 24
- Brian Kalemba, 22

Augustus faces the most serious individual charges, including applying a corrosive fluid with intent, aggravated burglary, possession of an offensive weapon, and drug offences.
Several male defendants also face additional accusations of conspiring to acquire criminal property.
Victim’s Family Breaks Silence
Danny Cahalane was found critically injured while his young daughter slept upstairs. Despite being moved to a specialist hospital for safety, he could not survive his wounds.
“Danny was an outstanding father and son… He is well loved by his family and friends, and we cherish his love and memories,” his family said in a moving statement.
Next Steps in Court
All nine accused remain behind bars as the case heads to a formal plea hearing on 2 June 2025.
