Scott Thomson faces murder charge in Manchester stabbing
A local man from Wythenshawe has been arrested and charged with murder following a stabbing that claimed the life of 47-year-old James Murray.
Scott Thomson, 57, of Skye Walk, was charged after James was fatally stabbed on Whitburn Road on December 4, 2024. Thomson is due to appear at Stockport Magistrates Court on December 9, 2024, after being remanded in custody.
Police release woman arrested on suspicion of assisting offender
Greater Manchester Police confirmed a 64-year-old woman initially arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on bail. Detectives say no other suspects are being sought at this time.
