Four-Month-Old Baby Dies After Horror Blackpool Attack
Tragedy struck in Blackpool after a four-month-old baby was found seriously injured at a home on Onslow Road last Thursday (December 3rd).
The infant was rushed to Blackpool Victoria Hospital before being transferred to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, but sadly passed away on Sunday (December 6th).
Man Charged With Attempted Murder
Jordan Lee, 28, from Onslow Road, has been charged with attempted murder. He appeared at Preston Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody.
A Home Office post-mortem will be carried out to determine the exact cause of death. Further charges may follow, pending consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service.
Police Appeal for Information
“My thoughts remain very much with this baby’s wider family, who are being supported by specialist officers,” said Detective Inspector Mark Dickinson of the Force Major Investigation Team. “While a man has been charged, our investigation is ongoing. We urge anyone with information to come forward.”
