Police swooped after a daring early-morning break-in at the Three mobile phone store on Montague Street, Worthing. The heist saw goods worth tens of thousands of pounds stolen in the dead of night on Wednesday.

CCTV Snaps Suspects, Quick Arrest Follows

Thanks to sharp-eyed Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) combing through CCTV footage, two suspects were identified and nabbed swiftly. Robert May, 50, homeless, and Joseph Perry, 41, of Whitebeam Road, Northbrook, Worthing, were arrested on Monday, March 25.

Charged and Remanded in Custody

The duo faced charges of commercial burglary and appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on March 26. Both were remanded in custody and will stand trial at Lewes Crown Court on April 23.
