Tragic Death of Plymouth Dad After Horrific Acid Attack
Devon & Cornwall Police have confirmed that Danny Cahalane, 38, has died in hospital following a savage acid attack at his Plymouth home.
The personal trainer and devoted dad was assaulted with sulphuric acid on 21 February 2025 while caring for his young daughter on Lipson Road. He succumbed to his devastating injuries on Saturday, 3 May.
Family Pays Heartbreaking Tribute
In a moving statement, Danny’s family said:
“As a family, we are struggling to come to terms with Danny’s passing. Danny was an outstanding father and son. We cherish his love and memories and ask for privacy during this time.”
Ex-Girlfriend Paris Wilson Charged Over Attack
Paris Wilson, 34, Danny’s former partner from The Quay, Plymouth, appeared in court last week facing serious charges linked to the attack. She is accused of:
- Conspiracy to kidnap
- Conspiracy to murder
- Participation in organised crime
Wilson, a former probation officer who volunteered at Dartmoor Prison, was seen crying in the dock at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court. She has been remanded in custody and will next appear at Plymouth Crown Court on 12 May.
Nine People Now Charged in Wide-Ranging Investigation
In total, nine individuals have been charged in connection with the acid attack. Police continue to investigate the incident, piecing together how the brutal assault unfolded.
