No Fixed Abode Man Held Over Deadly Goose Green Attack

Liam O’Prey, homeless and facing serious charges, has been remanded in custody after being arrested in connection with the death of Rico outside a Goose Green bar early Sunday morning. He is set to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court today.

Man Charged with Assault on Teen

O’Prey will also face charges for a brutal section 18 assault on a 17-year-old boy. The teen was critically injured in the same incident and needed life-saving treatment at the scene. Thankfully, the youngster remains stable in hospital despite suffering major, life-changing injuries.

“We are grateful to all those who provided first aid that night, especially the quick-acting first responders,” a statement from the teen’s family said.

Another Man Released on Bail

A 20-year-old man, initially arrested on suspicion of murder, has now been released on bail as the investigation continues.
