Three Men Busted in Hertfordshire County Lines Crackdown

County Lines Crackdown: Three Men Arrested in Hertfordshire Drug Bust

Police hit back at County Lines gangs with a major swoop on Wednesday, 27 October. Officers from the specialist Operation Mantis team, joined by Operation Scorpion and Safer Neighbourhood Teams, raided multiple addresses in a coordinated strike.

Drugs, Exploitation and Human Trafficking Charges

Three men were swiftly arrested and now face serious charges for conspiracy and possession of Class A drugs, including crack cocaine and heroin. But that’s not all – they are also accused of trafficking a vulnerable 15-year-old boy, forcing him to sell drugs on their behalf.

  • Dreyon Ford, 20, of Minet Avenue, Brent
  • Daniel Bamfo, 18, of Woodstock Gardens, Ilford
  • Isahaq Nur, 20, of Vicarage Rd, Tottenham

All three have been remanded in custody and are due to appear in court on 29 November 2021.

Police Slam ‘Cuckooing’ and Child Exploitation

“These gang members do not hesitate to use violence and exploit the vulnerable, often recruiting children online via social media to run drugs,” said Detective Sergeant Jon Leak from Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Operation Mantis team.

“They take over the homes of vulnerable people in the community—a tactic known as ‘cuckooing’—to operate their drug deals.”

“While Hertfordshire doesn’t yet face a major County Lines problem, it’s a growing national threat we are determined to tackle with early disruption.”
