Woman Stabbed to Death in King’s Lynn Home
Emergency Services Called After Midnight Attack
Emergency crews rushed to a property in Highgate, King’s Lynn, around 12.30am on Saturday, 16 April, after a woman in her 50s was found seriously injured inside a home.
She was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn but tragically died from her wounds.
Post-Mortem Confirms Fatal Stab Wounds
A Home Office post-mortem on Saturday confirmed the cause of death was stab wounds to the abdomen. The victim has been provisionally identified as 50-year-old Dace Kalkerte from King’s Lynn.
Three Arrested, One Charged With Murder
- Police arrested three people on Saturday: a man in his 50s, a woman in her 50s, and a man in his 40s, all connected to the case.
- Birute Klicneliene, 50, of Sir Lewis Street, King’s Lynn, has been charged with murder and remanded in custody.
- She is set to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 19 April.
- The two men have been released under investigation as inquiries continue.
Investigation Ongoing, Police Appeal for Witnesses
Officers believe the victim and suspects knew each other. A police cordon remains in place at the Highgate property and is expected to stay for several days.
