Benjamin Mendy Charged with Multiple Sex Offences
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has given the green light for Cheshire Constabulary to charge Benjamin Mendy over serious sexual assault allegations.
Four Rape Charges and One Assault Count
The 27-year-old footballer faces four counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. The alleged offences involve three women aged over 16 and reportedly happened between October 2020 and August 2021.
Mendy in Custody Ahead of Court Appearance
Mendy, from Withinlee Road, Prestbury, remains in police custody. He’s due to appear before Chester Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 27 August.
