Two Men Charged After Early Morning Dagenham Shoot-Out
Darrell Modeste, 29, from Stratford, and Christian Paul, 28, from Wanstead, have been hit with a series of serious charges following a brazen early hours shooting in Dagenham.
The Charges: Serious Firearm and Burglary Counts

- Two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence
- Grievous bodily harm with intent
- Aggravated burglary with intent
- Christian Paul was charged with:
- Possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life
- Two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence
- Grievous bodily harm with intent
- Aggravated burglary with intent
- Possession of a weapon designed to discharge noxious liquid, gas, or electrical incapacitation device
Incident Details: Gunshots Rock Dagenham at Dawn
Police were scrambled to Reede Road, Dagenham, just after 4am on Tuesday, 6 October, following reports of gunfire. Officers, including armed units, found a man and woman injured at the scene.
The 39-year-old man was shot and rushed to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition. The 32-year-old woman suffered minor injuries and also required hospital treatment.
Next Steps and Appeal for Witnesses
Both Savvy suspects were arrested on Thursday, 8 October, and are set to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court.
