Dangerous Driver Snared After High-Speed Audi Chase
Macauley Owen, 24, from Fairfax Court in Hemlington, was slapped with a stiff sentence at 1 Magistrates’ Court this Monday (March 7).
Midnight Mayhem on Stainton Way
The drama unfolded at 2:15am on Tuesday, March 1, when Owen was spotted tearing around in an Audi A3 near Stainton Way. He abandoned the car and bolted on foot but was swiftly caught nearby.
Police Issue Stark Warning
Inspector Chris Turner from Coulby Newham Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We are pleased with the sentence handed to Macauley Owen this week. He could have seriously harmed himself or other innocent members of the public by driving dangerously that night and his sentence should be a deterrent to others who think this kind of behaviour is acceptable.”
