Newborn Baby Found Dead Outside Norwich Road Home
Police rushed to a Norwich Road property shortly after 12:35pm on Saturday, 9 December, where they tragically discovered the body of a newborn baby outside the premises.
Paramedics attended the scene but sadly declared the baby dead.
Three Arrested in Shocking Murder Probe
On the same day, officers arrested two men and a woman on suspicion of murder linked to the heartbreaking death.
Detectives have since applied for an extra 21 hours to question the suspects at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court. This extension will last until Monday evening, 11 December.
Ongoing Investigation and Community Reassurance
A post-mortem will soon determine the cause of death, and formal identification procedures are underway.
The area remains cordoned off as police continue their enquiries. Detectives stress this is an isolated incident but understand the community’s concerns.
Residents will notice a heightened police presence, including uniformed officers. Police encourage locals to approach officers with any worries or information.
