Newborn Baby Found Dead Outside Norwich Road Home
Tragedy struck on Norwich Road just after 12:35pm on Saturday, 9 December, when police discovered the body of a newborn baby outside a property.
Paramedics rushed to the scene but sadly declared the infant deceased.
Three Arrested Over Newborn Murder
By yesterday afternoon, police had arrested two men and a woman on suspicion of murder linked to the heartbreaking incident.
Officers have since applied for a 21-hour extension to question the suspects at ipswich/" title="Ipswich" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Ipswich Magistrates’ Court, which will run until Monday evening, 11 December.
Ongoing Investigation and Community Alert
A post-mortem will be carried out soon to determine the exact cause of death, alongside formal identification procedures.
Police have sealed off part of Norwich Road as enquiries continue. Detectives stress this is an isolated case but acknowledge local concerns.
Residents should expect to see more uniformed officers in the area. Authorities encourage the public to approach them with any concerns.
