Neighbour Stabbed in Deadly London Row – Killer Caught in 10 Minutes

Swift Police Response Snaps Up Murderer

A 22-year-old man has been found guilty of murdering his neighbour in a shocking stabbing in south-west London. Salah Ahmed, also known as Salah Al-Mahmoodi, didn’t get far. Police nabbed him just 10 minutes after arriving at the scene in Balham.

From Friends to Fatal Foes

Ahmed and his victim, 18-year-old Issa Ali Musa Abdularaman-Baracat, were not only neighbours but friends. CCTV captured Issa leaving Ahmed’s room just after 2am on the day of the attack. But tensions erupted hours later when Ahmed armed himself with a kitchen knife following a dispute over a phone.

The deadly confrontation spilled onto The Street, where Ahmed stabbed Issa before fleeing to ditch the weapon nearby. Shockingly, Ahmed later returned and filmed the critically wounded victim before cops swooped.

Cold Lies Fail to Save Killer

Despite mounting evidence, Ahmed lied about his age and denied stabbing Issa. Detectives pieced the events together with support from partner agencies. A kitchen knife – confirmed as the murder weapon – was found minutes after the attack near a nearby flat.

“This is a tragic, senseless murder and our thoughts are with Issa’s loved ones. We hope that they feel some justice that Ahmed has been found guilty,” said Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.

“Ahmed took a knife into public with the clear intent to use it, showing no regard for his friend or anyone else. Violence and knife crime will never be tolerated, and we are committed to making London a safer city,” added DCI Howie.

Killer to Be Sentenced This September

Ahmed was charged with murder on 29 October and found guilty at Kingston Crown Court after a three-week trial. He faces sentencing on 25 September. The Met has welcomed the verdict as it takes another violent criminal off London streets.
